Rick brings over 30 years of high-tech, healthcare and operational experience both as a CFO, senior executive, and consultant. In his role as Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for leading the finance and accounting team and will play a key role in driving the company’s business and financial strategies into new growth areas. He brings extensive financial and operational leadership experience in scaling companies and a strong knowledge of healthcare & technology enabled businesses.
Before joining PatientMatters, Rick was the Principal at Sculpere Partners LLC since 2010 providing advisory services to C-level executives scaling technology growth companies. He optimized the growth and earnings mix for over 25 companies by improving or building financial systems, business models, and operational efficiencies. Prior to Sculpere Partners, Rick was SVP & Chief Financial Officer at Gomez, an internet infrastructure company, which grew during tenure at a 45% CAGR culminating in a strategic sale of the Company to Compuware. Previously, he held several CFO roles at private and public companies, including roles at Computervision Corporation and General Electric.
Mr. Darer holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an M.S. in industrial engineering from Northeastern University, and a B.S. in mathematics from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn.
